d. Help (top-right, four buttons, third button from the left): find explanations of the function

for each item on the current screen. This icon shows a “question mark” image.

e. About (top-right, four buttons, first button from the right): click this button to see system

information such as copyright declaration and the switch serial number. This icon shows
the ExaSAN logo.

Fan Speed and Fan Status Indicator: this is an informational item; it turns red in

color if the switch system detects any abnormal activity.

g.

Temperature Status Indicator: this is an informational item; it turns red in color if

the switch system detects any abnormal change.

h.

Port Status Indicators (center, inside of the switch back panel): these are

informational items, click on any of the ports in the switch back panel at center-right of
your screen, you are presented with the current status of that port, they turn red in color if
the switch system detects any abnormal activity.

i. Username (center, top field to the left of the “Login” button): enter your login username,

the defaults are “admin” and “user,” where the admin has permission to perform setup
while the user is only allow to monitor.

j. Password (center, lower field to the left of the “Login” button): enter your login

password; the default is “0000.”

k. Login button: after entering your login username and password, click this button to log

into your switch account.

l. Switch Name (lower-right): informational only, this is the switch model name.
m. F/W Version (lower-right): firmware version, informational only.
n. Boot Code Version (lower-right): informational only.

5. Log in with default user name “admin” and password “0000”, the switch GUI’s “Config Mode”

overview screen is displayed as shown below. The available features in this mode are listed in the left
pane.

a. Quick Setup: use this feature to create LUNs in the RAID disk system.
b. Environment Management: use this feature to monitor system environmental parameters.
c. Event Management: use this feature to produce system log files for Accusys support.
d. System Management: use this feature to update firmware or change the switch IP address

and password.

e. Application: use this feature to manage the LUN Masking function.
