Insert the Install Disc. Double click the “Install Xsan” icon to start the installation process as shown in the
screenshot above. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue the process.
For “Installation Type,” select “Xsan Admin” on metadata controllers and “Xsan” on clients as shown in
the screenshot below.
Upon completion of the Xsan software installation, you should select “Software Update” to download and
apply Xsan updates as shown below.
In the “Software Update” dialogue box, click “Show Details.”
From the available updates list, check “Xsan 2.2.1 Update” only and select “Install 1 Item.”
