4.11 Menu Lock-Out Protection

Access to the

various menus can be disabled by setting the Lock Switch located on the printed circuit board inside of

the balance to ON position. The Lock Switch locks accesses to all menus which have had LOCK turned ON includ-
ing CAL, UNITS, MODE and GLOBAL. The default setting for the Lock Switch is OFF.

Procedure

• Turn the balance off and unplug the power cord.

• Remove the pan and pan support.

CAUTION

In the next step, do not rest the balance

on the pan support cone.

• Turn the balance over.

• The Lock Switch is located towards the front of the

balance under the security plate.

• Remove the security screw and plate. See illustration

for location and switch settings. The switch is re
cessed about 1/2 inch and is accessable through a
slot in the printed circuit board. Use a small screw
driver or a thin rod to move the switch setting. A pa
per clip opened up will work. Remember, this switch
when set on will lock all menus parameters which
have the Lock set ON.

• Select the desired position on the Lock Switch, turn

the balance in an upright position, install the pan
support, pan and reconnect power.
