1 Product description
1.1 Function of VEGA Visual
Operating
The adjustment software VEGA Visual Ope-
rating (VVO) is used for easy and comfort-
able adjustment of VEGA-instruments. With
VVO the adjustment of the following VEGA-
instruments is possible:
- VEGALOG 571 (processing system)
- VEGACOM 557
- signal conditioning instruments series 500
(VEGAMET 513 ... 515)
- signal conditioning instruments VEGAMET
614 and 614V
- all communication capable VEGA-sensors
- all HART
® -capable VEGA-sensors
The connection of the PC to the instruments
VEGALOG and VEGACOM is made with a
RS 232-interface cable. The interface con-
verter VEGACONNECT 2 is necessary to
connect the PC directly to the sensors or the
signal conditioning instruments. In addition
the PC can be connected via VEGACON-
NECT 2 to the 4 ... 20 mA signal line or to the
VBUS-signal line of communication capable
sensors with separate output.
In case of older VVO-versions (< 2.20) only
the older interface converter VEGACON-
NECT can be used.
The operating data of the connected instru-
ments can be saved on the PC-hard drive,
on diskettes or other usual mediums.
The help program VVO-Viewer can be
started independent of VVO. It is used for
quick survey on databases and back-ups
created by VVO. VVO-Viewer is automatically
installed with the installation of VVO.
With the help program tank calculation lineari-
sation curves of different tank forms can be
calculated. Tank calculation is automatically
installed with the installation of VVO.
1.2 System requirement
- IBM-compatible PC with a free standard
interface (for connection of the interface
cable RS 232 or the interface converter
VEGACONNECT 2)
- recommended is a PC with Pentium-pro-
cessor with a basic cycle of 100 MHz
- Memory: 16 MB
- Software requirement: Windows 95
