12.3 Battery

12.3.1 Battery service life

The logger has an energy saving feature. The service life of the battery
depends very much on the usage of the logger, especially on the measuring
interval. The service life to be expected of a full battery (2600 mAh) can be
estimated by means of the following table:

Note
The power consumption also depends on the measured value: When
measuring high conductivity values, the logger uses more energy, when
measuring low conductivity values, it uses less energy. The service times to
be expected given in the above table apply to a permanent conductivity of 10
mS/cm. With other conductivity values the service times will change
accordingly.

12.3.2 Ascertaining the battery status

The battery manager of the logger records the battery use so that you can
ascertain the battery status at any time. For this the battery counter has to be
reset when a new battery is inserted.

Note
Leave the battery installed even if you will store the logger for a longer period
of time. This ensures that the battery counter can properly work and display
the battery status.
