13 What to do if...

13.1 Calibration and measuring

Unstable

measured values

Implausible

measured values

Incorrect

temperature

display

Logger does not

react

System cannot be

calibrated

Cause

Remedy

– No stable measured value

– Provide stable measuring

conditions (e.g. temperature)

– Use a shorter USB cable

– USB-Hub or USB connection

at the PC faulty or defective

– Use other USB connection or PC

Cause

Remedy

– Measuring range exceeded

– Make sure the logger is suitable

for the application

– Contamination in the area of

the electrodes

– Clean the conductivity measuring

cell (see section 12.2 E

XTERIOR

CLEANING

).

– Electrodes damaged

– Return the logger

Cause

Remedy

– The temperature sensor is not

immersed deep enough in the
measuring solution

– Observe the minimum immersion

depth

– Temperature sensor defective

– Return the logger

Cause

Remedy

– Battery depleted

– Insert new battery (see section

12.3)

Cause

Remedy

– Contamination in the area of

the electrodes

– Clean the conductivity measuring

cell (see section 12.2 E

XTERIOR

CLEANING

).

– Calibration solution not suitable – Use suitable control standard
