Type 8792, 8793
*** Connect the Pt 100 sensor via 3 cables for cable com-
pensation reasons. It is essential to bridge Pin 3 and Pin
4 on the sensor.
When the operating voltage is applied, the process controller is
operating.

Now make the required basic settings and actuate the automatic
adjustment of the process controller. The procedure is described
in chapter“16.3 Start-up Type 8793”.

operating voltage and secure to prevent reactivation!

with the appropriate tools!
Risk of injury from unintentional activation of the system and
an uncontrolled restart!
▶ Secure system from unintentional activation.
▶ Following installation, ensure a controlled restart.
Using the 4 – 20 mA set-point value input
If several devices of Type 8792/8793 are connected in series
and the power supply to a device in this series connection
fails, the input of the failed device becomes highly resistive.
As a result, the 4 – 20 mA standard signal fails.
