The MCNRCD program automatically sets the proper modem parameters for your
modem each time you place a Dial-Up call. The settings for the modem are stored
in the MODEM.INI file. Several other INI files are available for different modem
types. A table of available INI files is shown below.

README file for new additions.
The US Robotics Modem Model 336 Sportster will not connect to modems at
14400 baud!
The MCNRCD program cannot program modem options when the modem is used
in leased line mode. If you are using the modems over leased lines, you must
manually program the PC modem to be compatible with the HIB modem.
10.2.1 Programming the HIB’s Modem Initialization String Using
HIBCNFG.EXE
When the HIB module is configured for remote mode operation (OPTION A
switch 5 is in the UP position), a modem initialization string is sent to the modem
each time the HIB is reset or power cycled. This initialization string is stored in
the HIB’s non-volatile memory. Modems that use different command sets, may
require you to change the HIB’s default initialization string.
You may need to change this default initialization string for your specific modem
to add additional commands or modify the delays. To change this initialization
string, you only need to connect the HIB to the PC and run the program
HIBCNFG.EXE that was provided with your MCNRCD.EXE program.
