Product.

A group of standards and controls that you use to create a

template. Products are analogous to “reagent kits”. They are used in
the template’s definition for the multi-analyte assays that will be
performed.

Standard.

An assay calibrator that is used to generate a standard curve

for quantitative testing or to set thresholds for qualitative testing. Use
standards to calculate the results of an unknown sample.

Template.

A sequence of commands and preset assay information.

You must define all the standards and controls used in a template as
a single product.

Test.

Each test represents an analyte and corresponds to a bead set

which is represented by a bead ID.

Create New Product
Dialog Box Buttons

There are five buttons on the upper right side of the Create New
Product dialog box.

Revert: Removes the Multiplex Test Information and Test Reagents
data, but retains the Product Information fields. If you have not
saved, then it reverts to the previous settings.

Save: Saves the product after you enter all the applicable data.

Close: Close the Create New Product screen. If you have not saved,
you will see the prompt: “You have changed the product
information. Would you like to cancel? Yes or No”.

Delete: Removes unsaved products and products that do not have
data associated with them.

New: Enter a new product into the system.

Assay Standards

To create a product that consists of standards:

1. Click the Create New Product button on the Developer

Workbench toolbar. The Create New Products dialog box
appears with a list of current products.

Note:

When the system is

started for the first time, the
New button is grayed out. At
this point, the system is ready
for entry of a new product.
