Adjusting Yahoo! Messenger Settings
(Tools)

On the Contacts screen, press / to select “Tools,” and then
press the center button.
The Tools screen appears.

Press / to select an item, and then press the center button.
The options appear.

On the Tools screen, you can adjust the following settings and perform the
following operations.
Item Setting or operation
General • Sign in as invisible: If set to “ON,” your status is automatically
set to invisible when you sign in. The default setting is “OFF.”
• Archive: Selects whether messages are saved after a conversation
ends. The options are “Clear on sign out,” or “Do not save.”
• Sound Alert: If set to “ON” (default setting), an alert sounds
when a new event comes in.
• Show Music Info: If set to “ON”, the name of the track you are
listening to is displayed to your contacts. The default setting is
“OFF.”
• Emoticons: When set to “Show” (default setting), emoticons
entered during chats appear on your screen as graphic images.
• Show Time Stamp: If set to “ON” (default setting), a time stamp
is attached to each conversation entries.
