Playing Music – Basic Operations
Connect the supplied headset to the unit as illustrated below.

Basic playback operations
To Operation
Play Press the jog lever (  ). Playback starts from
the point where you last stopped playback.*
Stop playback Press the jog lever (  ).
Adjust the volume Press the VOL +/– buttons or /.
Find the beginning of the
current track
Flick the jog lever toward  once or press .
Find the beginning of previous
tracks
Flick the jog lever toward  repeatedly or
press  repeatedly.
Find the beginning of the next
track
Flick the jog lever toward  once or press .
Find the beginning of
succeeding tracks
Flick the jog lever toward  repeatedly or
press  repeatedly.
Go backward quickly Hold the jog lever toward  .
Go forward quickly Hold the jog lever toward  .
* Playback may or may not start from the point where you last stopped, depending on the
item that is selected when you press the jog lever.
