Security for the PinPoint-E
For specific information about the security of Your Wireless Service Provider’s network, contact
your cellular dealer directly.
Does EDGE/GPRS provide any security?
While the structure of the EDGE/GPRS network provides data security, it is still recommended
you use a VPN for additional data communication security.
If I change the password in my PinPoint-E and forget it later, can I still access
the modem?
If you changed your password from the default, you can have your password reset by calling or
emailing AirLink’s technical support.
The support technician will ask you for a Challenge Code which you can obtain using Wireless
Ace. You will be asked to send this information in an email to
[email protected] along with
your name and company. Password resets are tracked.
