Mounting the Flash

1.

Loosen the lock nut and slide the flash unit into

the camera's accessory shoe. To ensure correct

electrical contact, make sure it is pushed in all the

way. (T)

2.

Tighten the lock nut by turning it clockwise. @

The EOS-1 and 630 have a tiny hole on the accessory

shoe. This hole requires that the flash be securely

fastened for proper operation.

Ready Lamp and Test Firing

1. When the main switch is turned ON (“I” mark)

the flash begins charging. Charging is completed

when the ready lamp glows. The “V mark in the
viewfinder also glows when the shutter button is

pressed halfway. @

2.

To test fire the flash, press the ready lamp after

it glows. The flash fires when it is in proper work
ing order.

(4)

• Test fire the flash

before

pressing the shutter button

halfway. This cannot be done after the shutter button
is pressed halfway.
