Slow-Sync Shooting

If the flash is used to illuminate the subject in dark

backgrounds, the background will be dark because the

exposure is insufficient.

In this case, set the shooting mode to AV (aperture priori

ty) and select an aperture value. The shutter speed will

be set automatically ensuring that the background will
be exposed correctly.

• This function cannot be used when the main switch

is set to the green □ mark or P.

• This function cannot be used with the EOS 750 or 850.

• In slow-sync shooting, use a tripod to minimize

camera-shake from the slow shutter speeds.
