TROUBLESHOOTING

SYMPTOM

CAUSE

REMEDY

This unit does not operate
properly.

The internal microcomputer has been frozen.

Turn off the pow'cr of this unit and then turn on again after
about one minute (P. 14).

There is rotation noise of
the fan.

The temperature inside this unit rises.

The fan starts to rotate to cool (hi the temperature inside
this unit.

A tioise occurs at the
change of the tracks that
has been recorded from the
analog record and edited.

A very low frequency component among the

wow and flutter of the analog record is being
output as a noise.

Improvement can be made by adding a short tade-iii or
fade-out to the track (R64).

Remote control does not
work-

The batteries of the remote control are too
weak.

Replace two batteries with new ones (P, 11).

Remote control is from loo far.
Remote control is being used at an incorrect

angle.

Use the remote control within 6 m and 60 degrees radius

(PH).

[Direct sunlight or lighting (of an inverter type

of fluorescent lamp, etc.) is striking the
remote control sensor.

Change the position so that the remote control sensor is not
exposed to strong lighting.

TV does not correctly
function when the remote
control is being used.

Remote control is being used near TV set

with a remote control sensor.

Relocate this unit away from the TV or cover the TV’s
remofe control sensor.

The picture on the TV is
impaired.

The indoor antenna is used.

Use an outdoor antenna, or set this unit away from the TV
set.
