Important safety instructions

the opertiling inslruclions. Adjust only those controls
that, are covered by the operating instructions as an

improper adjustment of other controls may result in

damage and wall often require extensive work by a
qualified technician to restore the product to its normal
operation,

Replacement Parts - When replacement parts are required,
be sore the service technician has used replacetnent parts

specified by the manufacturer or have the same

characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized

substitutions may result in lire, electric shock, or other

hazards.

Safety Check - Upon completion of any service or repairs to
this product, ask the service technician to perform safety
checks to determine that the product is in proper operating
condition.

Wall or Ceiling Mounting - l"he unit, should be motrnted
to a w'all or ceiling only as recommended by the
manufacturer.

Heat - The product should be situated aw'ay from heat
sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other

products (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outside antenna or
cable system is connected to the product, be sure the antenna
or cable system is grotinded so as to provide some
protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges.
Article 810 of the National electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70,
provides information with regard to proper grounding of the
nuist and supporting structure, grounding of the letid-in ware
to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors,
location of antenna discharge unit, connection to grounding
electrodes, and requirentents for the grourding electrode.

This reminder is provided to call the CATV system

installer’s attention to Article 820-40 of the NEC that

provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in
particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be
connected to the grounding system of the building, as
close to the point of ctible entry as prtictical.

not installed and used according to the instructions found

in the users manual, may cause interference harmful to the

Relocate either this product or the device that is being

breaker or fuse) circuits or install AC line filter/s.

In the case of radio or 'IV interference, relocale/reorient
the antenna. If the antenna lead-in is 300 ohm ribbon lead,
change the lead-in to eoa.Kial type cable.

If these corrective measures do not produce satisfactory
results, please eontael the local retailer authorized to
distribute this type of product. If you can not locale the
