■ External Parameter Control: CONTROLLER 1 through

CONTROLLER 4

The FX900 allows up to four external "controllers" to be assigned for remote real-time control of effect parameters. The external
controllers can be FC7 foot controllers plugged into the rear-panel FOOT VOL 1 or 2 jacks, FC7 foot controllers plugged into the
FOOT CONTROL 1 or 2 jacks of the optional FC900 Foot Controller (see the FC900 operation manual for details), or MIDI
controller messages consisting of MIDI control change numbers between 0 and 95. Some of the MIDI numbers are assigned to
specific controllers — modulation wheel, data entry, etc — and a MIDI device such as a keyboard that has the any of these
controllers will transmit the corresponding MIDI control change data when the controllers are operated. You could, for example,
assign a keyboard modulation wheel to control the FX900 reverb time.

In order to use this kind of setup, the four "controllers" that the FX900 allows — CONTROLLER 1, CONTROLLER 2,

CONTROLLER 3, and CONTROLLER 4 — must be set to respond to the appropriate foot controller or receive specific MIDI
CONTROL CHANGE data (i.e. receive data from a specific MIDI controller) using the CONTROLLER functions described below.
