SET OPERATION PARAMETERS

This section describes the operation parameters of the IDS 410/422.

Access Operation Parameters and Parameter Functions

The parameters are accessed by holding the GROSS/NET key down and then pressing the

UNITS key. The numeric display prompts "CFG xx", where xx is the currently selected

parameter. Use the alternate key functions to select a parameter. Press the

enter key to begin

parameter data entry. Press the

clear key to exit configuration mode and store the parameter data

into memory.

Parameter data entry uses the alternate keyboard functions (

clear, item, +, -, enter). To

enter/change numeric data, use the

item key to select a digit to change. The blinking digit is the

currently selected digit. Use the (

+) and (-) keys to increase or decrease the selected digit. Press

the

enter key to accept the displayed number or press the clear key to discard the changes.

EXAMPLE: Set the full-scale graduations (parameter 17) to 5000 -

Hold the GROSS/NET key down and press the UNITS key. Press the

item key to select the

second digit from the right, press the (

+ or -) until the digit is 1. Press the item key. Press the (+

or

-) key until the far right digit is 7. Press the enter key. The display prompts "10000". Press the

item key until the far left digit blinks. Press the (-) key 1 time to change the 1 to 0. Press the item

key. Press the (+) key 5 times to change the 0 to 5. Press the

enter key to exit parameter 17 data

entry. Press the

clear key to exit configuration mode and store the parameter data into memory.

Operation Parameters Reference Tables

The reference tables provide an overview of the operation parameters. The sections following the

reference tables describe the setup parameters in detail and the procedures for modifying them.

Use the 'Field Settings' column of the reference tables to document any changes to the setup

parameters.

Reference Table column heading descriptions:
No.: Use this number to access the parameter to be modified. For example to modify the

Digital Filter enter CFG 3.
Parameter Name: The name of the parameter.
Default Value: The value set at the factory. The Parameter Function "Initialize Operation

Parameters to Factory Defaults" sets the parameter to this value.
Maximum Value: The maximum value for numeric parameters, the maximum number of

characters for alphanumeric parameters.
Password Level: The IDS 410/422 has 3 password levels. Level 1 requires entering password-1

before accessing the parameter. Level 2 requires password-2. Level 3 requires password-2 and

the Lock Switch to be in the unlocked position.
