Function 80: Calibrate Multi-Point Linearization

•NOTE: Parameter 79 must be set to (1) first before using Multi-point calibration.

Use function 80 to calibrate the scale using up to five calibration points to linearize the load cells.

Set the Scale Operation Parameters before using function 80. Best results are optained when the

IDS 410/422 and the load cells have been allowed to reach thermal equilibrium ( power supplied

for approximately 30 to 120 minutes depending upon load cell size). NOTE: funtion 80

automatically adjusts parameter 19 (deadload offset).

1. Hold the GROSS/NET key down and depress the UNITS key to enter the CFG mode.

2. Enter CFG 80. The IDS 410/422’s display will prompt “dEAdld”. Remove all weight

from the scale. Press the ENTER key to obtain the deadload weight. Press the UNITS

key to continue without reading a new deadload weight.

3. The IDS 410/422’s display will alternates between “CAL1” and the weight on the

scale. Place the first calibration weight on the scale. Enter the calibration weight using

the key pad. Press the ENTER key. The IDS 410/422 reads the calibration weight.

4. The IDS 410/422’s display alternates between “CAL2” and the weight on the scale.

Repete step3. The IDS 410/422 will accept up to five calibration points. Press the

CLEAR key to complete calibration if less than five points are used.

5. The IDS 410/422 will prompt “CFG80”. Press the CLEAR key to exit the configuration

mode.
