2-26

After the name has been keyed in, the operator must press the ENTER key. The System 2500
will then ask the operator to verify that he wishes to recall the setup whose name is displayed.
By pressing the RECALL key, the setup by this name in backup memory will be copied over the
current setup. The PLS and die protection information now in effect will be that of the recalled
setup.

WARNING! Unexpected machine operation may take place when the new setup is
recalled. Although the keyswitch is in the PROG position and the machine cannot run,
the individual PLS outputs may be programmed in the new (recalled) setup so that they
are 'on' at this crankshaft position. Devices controlled by such outputs will activate when
the setup is recalled.

Note that the setup in backup memory is not affected by the recall operation (that is, it is still in
backup memory). After the recall operation the Store/Recall Menu will return and the name of
the recalled setup will be displayed as the 'Current setup'.

2.7.2.2 Recall Setup, VIEW NAMES

If the operator wants to select a setup for recall by viewing the setup names, he must select
VIEW NAMES from the Recall Menu. This method can be used if the setup name cannot be
remembered or if the name is lengthy to enter manually. When VIEW NAMES is selected the
names of the setups stored in memory will appear in the display, four at a time. The right, left,
up, or down arrow keys can be used to move the cursor to the desired setup for recall. If more
than four setups are stored in memory, the operator can continue to press the down arrow key to
bring new setup names to the screen.

Once the desired setup is selected the ENTER key must be pressed. The System 2500 will then
ask the operator to verify that he wishes to recall the setup whose name is displayed. By pressing
the RECALL key, the setup by this name in backup memory will be copied over the current
setup. The PLS and die protection information now in effect will be that of the recalled setup.
