window, as might be the case for a very long part. Note: If the input is programmed for ‘Part
Must Pass’, the sensor is not allowed to become active outside the window or a fault will be
generated.
This provides protection against a part ‘bouncing’ on a probe-type detector and
satisfying the die protection input erroneously.

If a Die Protection input is programmed as a Part Detector, the user presettable counters of the
System 2500 (Part Counter, Batch Counter, and Quality Check Counter) will then be tied to that
input. In other words, when any one of those counters is turned on (active), the counter will
increment each time a part is seen by the Part Detector input. See Section 2.6 for additional
information on the Counter functions.

2.10 STOPS/FAULTS

If the operator wishes to see an explanation for the current stop or fault condition, he may do so
by selecting STOPS/FAULTS from the Main Menu. The display will then have a message
indicating the reason for the Top Stop or E-Stop taking place. If an error condition exists, the
error number shown in the LED display will have a corresponding explanation on the LCD
display (error messages are listed in Section 5). If more than one stop or fault is present, the up
and down arrow keys can be used to view the additional explanations. The EXIT key can be
used to return to the Main Menu.
