8. AIR FEEDER PBA
Principle of
Operation The air feeder PBA is suitable for handling a wide variety of papers - uncoated as
well as coated, freshly printed or thin papers.
The sheets are separated by air and vacuum.
Air is supplied from the bottom of the stack both on the left and right side,
separating the paper in the stack which now floats in a cushion of air.
A rotating suction drum can then separate the sheets from the bottom of the
paper stack.
This principle has the advantage that paper can be continuously reloaded with
the machine running. There is no need to stop the machine.

1 Feed table

3 Knobs for adjusting the air guides
4 On/Off switch for pump
5 Front paper stop
6 Guide rollers
7 Suction drum with suction segment
8 Vacuum adjustment valve
9 Lever for adjusting the suction segment
10 Window for adjustment of suction
segment
11 Air adjustment valves
12 Rear paper stop
