NOTE:

The resistance reading should be smaller than 5 ohms between L1000-A chassis and the ground.

To guarantee the grounding effect, use the grounding cable provided with the L1000-A to connect to
the grounding strip in the equipment room as long as possible.

Installing a power module

The procedures for installing an AC power module and DC power module are similar. The following

uses an AC power module as an example.
To install a power module:

1.

Face the rear panel of the L1000-A.

2.

Locate the slot to install the power module. If a filler panel is available on the slot, loosen the
captive screws on the filler panel with a Phillips screwdriver and remove the filler panel.

3.

Keep the filler panel and install it if no power module is to be installed in the slot to prevent dust
from entering the chassis.

4.

Correctly orient the power module with the power module slot (see

Figure 12

), grasp the handle

of the power module with one hand and support its bottom with the other, and slide the power

module slowly along the guide rails into the slot until it has firm contact with the connectors on the

backplane.
