If the command is learned successfully, the Current Button field displays
“IR Learned” in the selected button’s first available command slot.

If you do not press the device remote control button within 5 seconds, the
following dialog box appears, telling you that the IR learning process has
timed out.

If you want to try to learn the command again, click OK on the prompt, and
press the remote control button within 5 seconds. If you want to quit, click
the X (Close) button in the upper-right corner of the prompt window.

Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each button to be set up with IR codes.

Place configuration DIP switch #1 back in the Off (down) position
when you are ready to resume normal MLC operation. (All four
switches should be down.)

Playing an IR command

Playing a command means issuing the command from the MLC using the
configuration software. The result is the same as if the equivalent button were
pressed on the display device’s remote control.

To play an IR command,

On the main screen, click the MLC or IR 452 button whose command(s) you
want to play.

In the Current Button field, click on the desired command to highlight it.

Click the Play IR Command button below the Current Button field. The
MLC issues the command, and the device performs the function.

If the button is in macro mode and has multiple commands programmed to
it, all of the commands are issued in the order in which they are listed in the
Current Button field.
