When you click Finish with this option selected, a prompt appears,
reminding you to save the configuration after editing it using the
Windows-based configuration software. Click OK to close the prompt.
After a few seconds, the MLC 52 configuration program main screen
opens, displaying your most recently uploaded configuration. (See
“Configuring using the Windows-based configuration program” on
page 5-19, for instructions on editing a configuration.)

The second radio button

closes the wizard without opening the

configuration software.

If you have not yet saved your new configuration, both of these options also
save it.

Uploading an existing configuration using the wizard

As an alternative to creating a completely new configuration, you can use the
wizard to open and upload an existing configuration. You can then use the
Windows-based configuration software to edit the configuration and, if desired,
save it under a new name.

To upload an existing configuration,

Open the wizard and click Next on the Introduction screen so that the
Select Initial Option screen is displayed.

On the Initial Option screen, select the third radio button, called “I am
connected to an MLC 52 Series Controller or DVCM 50 and want to
upload an existing configuration to it

,” then click Next.

On the Select COM Port screen, select the serial communication port
through which the MLC is connected to your computer, then click Next.

Click Next on the Detect Device Type screen.

In the Select File section of the Save Configuration File screen, click on the
desired configuration file (with a .mlk extension).
