Termination
One or two L ON W ORKS terminations are required, depending
on the given LonWorks bus layout.
Double termination is required only when the network is a
daisy-chain configuration and the total wire length is greater
than 1640 ft (500 m). The max. lengths described in Step 2
must be adhered to for either a daisy chain or free topology
L ON W ORKS layout. See Fig. 17 for connection details for a
doubly terminated bus. See Fig. 18 for connection details for
a singly terminated bus.
Two different L ON W ORKS termination modules are available:
• L ON W ORKS termination module, order no.: 209541B
• L ON W ORKS connection / termination module (mountable
on DIN rails and in fuse boxes), order no.: XAL-Term
