Customizing the Display

Assigning function keys of multiple AV
components to a Component display

The Multi component key is a Component key with which you can remotely
control multiple AV components with function keys of multiple AV components
assigned to one Component display. If you create a Multi component key when
a DVD player is connected to a receiver and a DSP (digital surround processor),
for example, you can remotely control these components in one display without
switching between each component.

The Multi component key can also be created easily with a computer using the supplied
application. For details, refer to the manual (Help) of “NAVITUS Design.”

In this section, how to create a Multi Component “THEATER” key, for
example, containing function keys for a DVD player, a receiver and a DSP
(digital surround processor) together assigned on the Component display is
explained.

How to program a Multi Component “THEATER” key
1 Create an Alias Component key.
2 Change the wallpaper.
3 Move or delete the function keys.
4 Create Alias function keys and assign them to the component display.

1

Create an Alias component
key.

In this case, create an Alias component
key with the label “THEATER.”

For details on creating an Alias key, see
“Creating an Alias Component key
(ALIAS)” (page 83).

2

Change the wallpaper
(background) of the
Component display screen
assigned to the created
Alias Component key.

In this case, set a wallpaper divided into
spaces for a DVD, a RECEIVER, a DSP
and a POWER.

For details on setting the wallpaper, see “Setting a wallpaper
(WALLPAPER)” (page 103).
