1.5. Multi-Purpose Tray Feeding
The multi-purpose tray is incorporated in the front of the printer. It can be used in one of three
modes: the first mode, cassette mode or manual mode.
First mode: If there is paper in the multi-purpose tray, paper is fed from the multi-
(automatic manual purpose tray first even if another paper source is selected. (Default factory
feeding) setting)
Cassette mode: In this mode, it is possible to continuously feed approximately 100 sheets
(0.1 mm thickness).
Manual mode: Enables normal paper or special paper to be manually fed a single sheet at
a time. See Appendix B for the types and sizes of paper which may be
used with this printer.
Note
In first mode and manual mode, all printing is performed according at the paper feed timing given
by the custom paper size regardless of the multi-purpose tray size setting.
Feeding from the Multi-Purpose Tray and Associated Settings
1. Taking hold of the front of the printer as shown in the figure, open the multi-purpose tray by
pulling towards you.
