This section describes the use of the PC mouse and keyboard, including the associated hot
keys used when configuring the MLS 608 D device with DSP Configurator.

Mouse navigation in the DSP Configurator application is mostly consistent with standard
Microsoft

®

Windows

®

behavior.

Some keyboard navigation behavior matches Microsoft Windows standards, while other
behavior is specific to DSP Configurator. SpeedNav

keyboard navigation in

DSP Configurator has been designed to allow navigation within the application and the
execution of all configuration functions to be performed solely with the use of a keyboard.

Initial keyboard use — When you first launch the program, the cursor focus is in the
upper left corner, on the input 1 Gain block. From there, use the keyboard arrow keys and
<Tab> key to move within the program. <Shift + Tab> reverses the direction of the <Tab>
key. Use the arrow keys to move to the channel name fields, then press <Tab> (input) or
<Shift + Tab> (output) to move out of the name fields.

Selecting Multiple Blocks

A selected area (block) can be cut, copied, then pasted (see the "

subsections below). The selection can

also be saved to a preset.

To select multiple blocks of elements:

1.

Starting at any corner of the area to be highlighted, click the left mouse button and
drag the cursor over the desired blocks.

2.

Release the mouse button. The highlighted blocks are outlined in green.

Selecting Multiple Areas

You can select additional areas and retain the previous selection.

To select multiple areas:

Press <Ctrl> (on keyboard) while clicking the additional elements.

Alternatively,

Press <Ctrl> while clicking and dragging the cursor over an additional group of
elements.

These methods of selection are used when selecting elements prior to saving a preset.
