Introduction
Before you transfer any data between the Package Track Workstation
Application and the Package Track Batch Portable Application, you should
set security and synchronization options as well as verify your database
connection.
For more information about the options available in Package Track, please
refer to
“Setting System Options” on page 58 , “Setting Security” on
page 61 , and “Technical Support Settings” on page 62 .
For more information about database connection settings, please refer to
“Verifying Database Connection” on page 50 .
Verifying Database Connection
Your Package Track application contains a database that stores your data
and all data transactions. It is located on a PC or network server and man-
aged by SQL Server or SQL Express. During application installation, SQL
login is set and your IntelliTrack database is created. To verify database
creation and connection, you must know your SQL Login information and
your IntelliTrack database name.

Database The database is created during application installation. The default data-
base name for Package Track SQL v8.1 is PTSQL80.
SQL Server
Logon
Information
During application installation, the default logon information for SQL
Server is set as username “sa” and password IntelliTrack#2008. You are
able to change the database name and SQL Server logon information.
However, for SQL 2008, a strong password is required. For more informa-

“Strong Password
Requirements” on page 51 .
