Introduction

Package Track catalogs package information so that you are able to track
the package activity at your facility through the receipt and delivery pro-
cess. Thus, the application will track the Package Track user who received
the package into the system; the intended package recipient; the delivery
carrier; the mailroom location of the package; and the package type. This
package information comprises the package record. For more information
about the package information values in the package record, refer to

“View-

ing the Package Values” on page 138

.

To use Package Track effectively, it is important to enter comprehensive
information for each package when it is received into the system. There-
fore, before receiving and delivering packages with this application, we
recommend setting up the system users, recipients, and package lookup
information. This information is entered from the setup area of the main
window, or from the Configuration Menu, as shown below. The sections
that follow explain how to enter and modify information in the Package
Track Workstation Application.
