NOTE:

If you see an error message when you enter this command, a previous certificate

may not have been created. You can ignore the error message.

To create a new certificate containing the DNS name of the management server, enter the

following at the command prompt:

perl generateAppIQKeyStore.pl

5.

If the program is unable to detect a DNS name, enter the following at the command prompt:

perl generateAppIQKeyStore.pl create mycomputername

where mycomputername is the DNS name of the computer

6.

To copy the new certificate to the management server, enter the following at the command

prompt:

perl generateAppIQKeyStore.pl copy

The new certificate is copied to the correct location.

You must remove and rediscover Cisco, QLogic, or CNT switches supported through SMI-S after you

upgrade the management server. These additional steps vary according to whether you do

discovery from HP SIM or HP SE.

IMPORTANT:

Refer to the support matrix for information on which models and firmware revisions

are supported through SMI-S.

HP SIM

1.

To remove elements from the HP SIM database:
a. Click Systems in the left pane.
b. Select the elements you want to delete.
c. Click Delete.
