Paste the copied text into the Custom Properties field. How you paste the text depends on

your Web browser. If you are using Microsoft Explorer or Netscape Navigator, right-click the

field and select Paste.

Make your changes in the Custom Properties field. Make sure the property is not commented

out by removing the hash (#) symbol in front of the property.

Set the cimom.snmpTrapListenerPort property to the port you want, as shown in the

following example:

cimom.snmpTrapListenerPort=162

When you are done, click Save.

Restart the service for the management server for your changes to take effect.
While AppStorManager is restarting, users are not able to access the management server. The

AppStorManager service must be running for the management server to monitor elements.

Discovering McDATA and EMC Connectrix Switches

McDATA and EMC Connectrix switches use the Fibre Channel Switch Application Programming

Interface (SWAPI) to communicate with devices on the network. The management server can

discover multiple instances of Enterprise Fabric Connectivity Manager.
Use one of the following techniques to discover McDATA and Connectrix switches:

NOTE:

Managing McDATA switches through SWAPI is not supported on management servers

running on Linux.
