To bring the primary and secondary volume groups into synchronization and start Remote
Copy operations:

Start Remote Copy on InServ1:

Define a target for InServ1:

<target_name>
is the target name (for example, InServ2)
◆
IP
states that this is an IP link.
◆
<node_number>
specifies the node that contains the IP connections to the target.
◆
<IP_addr>
is the link IP address for the target system (for example,172.100.33.11
and 172.101.33.11).

Create a volume group on InServ1:
◆
-snp_cpg <snp_CPG>
is the name of the common provisioning group that is used for
the snapshot space.
◆
-cnt <nb_of_VV>
is the number of identical virtual volumes to create (for example 2).
◆
<usr_cpg>
is the name of the common provisioning group that is used for the user
space.
◆
<VV_name>
is the name of the created virtual volume (for example localvv).
On InServ1:
# startrcopy
On InServ1:
# creatercopytarget <target_name> IP <node_number>:IP_address...
NOTE: The process of creating a volume group as described in the following step
is provided only for this example and would not normally be required. When
synchronizing volume groups, your volume groups should already be created.
