set management

Description

Sets global management interface settings for the system.

Syntax

set management [disable|enable] [port=<port>]

[dhcp=<dhcp>] [hostname=<name>] [domain=<domain>]

[ip=<ip>[/<mask>]|default>] [gateway=<ip>] [dns1=<ip>]

[dns2=<ip>] [vlan=<vlan>] [ntp=<ip>]

Operands

NOTE:

Although all parameters are optional, at least one parameter must be

supplied for the command to be valid.

NOTE:

If a parameter is not specified then the current setting must not be

changed.

disable|enable
• disable—disables the management interface on the storage system.

All management interface settings are retained and may be restored by

later issuing a set management enabled command.

• enable—enables the management interface on the storage system if it

was previously disabled.

port=<port>

A valid management port name, such as MA0, to be used as the

management interface port.

dhcp=<dhcp>
• on—activates DHCP for the management interface. This causes the

configured static IP address to be removed.

• off—deactivates DHCP for the management interface. The configured

static IP address is used, or if no static IP is configured, the system

defaults to a zeroconf setup.

hostname=<name>

The network host name for this system. For example, myarray.

domain=<domain>

The domain suffix for this system. For example, hp.com.

<ip[/<mask>]|default>

The IP address in dotted notation. If default is entered instead of an IP

address, the default gateway will be used.

If a subnet mask is included with the ip address, it must be entered in dotted

notation or number of bits and must be entered directly after the IP address,

separated with a slash (/) character (no spaces).
