set service

Description

Configures the management interface network services.

Syntax

set service <service-name> enable|disable port=<port-

number>

Operands

<service-name>

The name of the management interface service. Valid entries include the

following:

telnet—Telnet-based CLI interface

ssh—SSH-based CLI interface

http—Unencrypted web interface

https—SSL-encrypted web interface

snmp—SNMP agent

enable|disable

Enables or disables the service. The effect of this switch is service-specific

but likely involves starting and stopping listening on the service's network

port.

<port-number>

A valid TCP or UDP port number (depending on the service) to which the

service should listen, otherwise enter default if the default port for the

service is desired.

Example 1
To enable the HTTP service and set it to listen to non-standard port 8080:

CLI> set service http enable port=8080

Example 2
To disable the Telnet service:

CLI> set service telnet disable
