WARNING: Restarting the HP EFS WAN Accelerator service disrupts existing network
connections that are proxied through the HP EFS WAN Accelerator.

To start, stop, or
restart services

1. Click the Setup tab to display the Setup menu.

2. Click Start/Stop Services to display the Start/Stop Services page.

3. To start the HP EFS WAN Accelerator service or PFS, click Start Service. Starting

the service takes a few seconds.

To stop the HP EFS WAN Accelerator service or PFS, click Stop Service.

To restart the HP EFS WAN Accelerator service or PFS, click Restart Service.

4. Under Service Auto-Launch Configuration, select Automatic, or Manual from

the PFS drop-down list to specify whether you want the service to start
automatically with start-up or manually each time you use PFS.

TIP: To remove data from the data store, click Clean the Data Store on Next Restart. (You
rarely need to clean the data store outside of a lab environment.)

Rebooting the HP EFS WAN Accelerator

You can reboot the HP EFS WAN Accelerator in the Reboot Appliance page.

Rebooting the HP EFS WAN Accelerator disrupts existing network connections that
are currently proxied through the appliance.
