Viewing System
Dump Files

The System Dump Report displays a list of system dump files and their size. A system
dump contains a copy of the kernel data on the system. System dump files can help you
diagnose problems in the HP EFS WAN Accelerator.

To view system dump
files

1. Click the Reports tab to display the Performance - Bandwidth Optimization page.

2. Under Diagnostic in the left menu, click System Dumps to display the Diagnostic

- System Dumps page.

3. Click the file name to open a file save dialog box to download the file.

4. Click Generate System Dump Now to generate a new system dump.

TIP: To remove a file, click the check box next to the name and click Remove Selected Files.
This action applies the settings to the running configuration. Click Save to write your settings to
memory or click Reset to return the settings to their previous values.

Viewing System
Snapshots

The System Snapshots report displays a list of system snapshot files and their size. A
system snapshot is a saved copy of memory including the contents of all memory,
bytes, hardware registers, and status indicators. It is periodically taken to restore the
system in the event of failure. System snapshot files can help you diagnose problems
in the HP EFS WAN Accelerator.
