Smoothing
Curved sections of characters and graphics can be printed smoothly.

Click the Quality tab.

Select a type from the pull down box next to “Type”.
– Type 1
Suitable for printing the diagonal lines of general characters and
graphics.
– Type 2
Suitable for printing the curved sections of general characters.
– Type 3
Suitable for printing the curved sections of ornamental characters
and fine lines.
– Off
No smoothing operation is made.
Monochromatic Conversion
Set whether to convert the color image to monochrome on the driver or on
the printer.

Click the Quality tab.

Select either “By Driver” or “By Printer” from “Monochromatic Conver-
sion”.
Toner Save, Draft Print
Set this function to save the toner consumption or print lighter.

Click the Quality tab.

Set as follows according to the object.
– To reduce the toner consumption
Select the “Toner Save” check box.
