Using the Timeline

Ordinarily the group bar indicates the name of the object if there is only one object
and the number of composited items for areas where more than one object overlap.

Moving Objects in the Group Track

Motion lets you move objects within a group depending on where you click. You can
move all of the objects within the group as a single object by clicking the thin blue
group bar at the top of the group track. If you click an area where only one clip exists,
you move just that item. If you click an area where multiple objects overlap, dragging
moves all of the overlapping items.

To move an entire group as a single object:

Click the thin blue group bar at the top of the group track.

The layer can be collapsed or expanded.

Drag to the right or left to move the entire layer in time.

To move a single object within a group:

Click the area of the group track where the one clip is visible.

That clip is highlighted in the group track.
