7.

Configure the terminal extensions
using the codes. For instance:

l

C0010: Configuration of the
digital inputs and outputs

l

C0011: Debouncing time for
digital inputs

For the settings see code table. (

l

Set a system bus monitoring
time for the cycle process data
transfer:
– Set C0030 > 0 ms
– Lenze setting: 0 ms
– Steps: 100 ms

l

Monitoring is not possible when the process data
transfer (Lenze setting) is event−triggered. If a
communication error (signal cable interrupt) has
occurred, the digital outputs change to LOW level in
an undefined way. The state which was output last
is maintained at the outputs.

l

If a communication error has occurred and the
monitoring time has elapsed, the digital outputs
change to LOW. An error message is output.
– Set the system bus to cycle process data transfer

also on the controller (

l

A BUS−OFF (signal cable short−circuit) is always
monitored. The digital outputs of the terminal
extensions switch to LOW level.

8.

Transmit the current parameter set
to the terminal extension (F5).

9.

The comfiguration is completed. If
necessary, remove the connection
between PC and terminal extension.

Remove connection only if the devices are switched off.
