Chapter 3 Install the Counter Module
Install the Removable
Terminal Block This section shows how to install the RTB onto the module to connect the
wiring.
Before installing the RTB, make sure of the following:
• Field-side wiring of the RTB has been completed.
• The RTB housing is snapped into place on the RTB.
• The RTB housing door is closed.
• The locking tab at the top of the module is unlocked.
1. Align the top, bottom, and left side guides of the RTB with the guides on
the module.
WARNING: When you connect or disconnect the removable terminal block
(RTB) with field side power applied, an electrical arc can occur. This could cause
an explosion in hazardous location installations.
Be sure that power is removed or the area is nonhazardous before proceeding.
