Installing Your NRU
Ground-Fault Detection Option
If the ground-fault detection metering option is supplied on your unit,
perform the following procedures.
Note: The ground-fault detection relay can be implemented only
if the power transformer has a resistive grounded-wye secondary
with a resistance of 150 to 300 ohms (1–2A of current during a
solid ground fault).
1.
Connect terminals TB2-1 and TB2-2 across the power
transformer grounding resistor, in accordance with system
schematics and transformer manufacturer specifications.
2.
Turn the set screw until the black indicator needle aligns with the
0 (zero) mark as shown in Figure 9.1.
