Mount Seed Box Frame

If tie rods are in crate, skip to step 39.

Refer to Figure 37
37. Cut the cable ties

securing the tie rods

to the

flanges.

38. Remove the cotter pins from the castellated nuts

,

remove the nuts, and the tie rods. Save the tie rods
and fasteners for re-installation at step 68.

Refer to Figure 38
Note: If no hopper is included, leave walkboard closed,

and lift structure using 3 adequately sized chains
so it lifts evenly side-to-side and front-to-back.

39. Open the walkboard by removing the pin

, swing-

ing it open to the right, and securing it with the
keeper.

40. Lift the seed support structure from the rear using

the fork holes

in the hopper support.

Refer to Figure 39
Have the GR5 bolts

, washers

and nuts

saved

in step 28 at hand.

41. Position the flanges

on the front of the structure

to mate up with the corresponding flanges on the
rear of one of the two parallel arms. Secure with 16
bolts, washers and nuts.

Note: A fan mount weldment is added to the left flange

later (step 85).

42. Use the lift or hoist to align the flanges on the other

side. Secure with 16 bolts, washers and nuts.

Seed Cart Self-Lift

If only one hoist or fork lift is available (the one presently
supporting the seed cart structure), it will be needed for
hoisting casters. The lift-assist cylinders are capable of
supporting the entire weight of the seed structure if the
mainframe is hitched to a 3-point tractor, and the lift
hoses (blue) are connected to a tractor remote.

If you need to free the hoist/lift:

43. Lower the seed structure onto its shipping stands.

44. Hitch a 3-point tractor and connect the lift-assist cir-

cuit.

45. Raise the seed structure until the parallel arms are

slightly above level at the rear.

46. Put blocks or jack stands under the rear shipping

strands of the seed structure.

Remove Cart Shipping Stands

47. Remove the four shipping stands

from the seed

structure. These are not re-used.
