Removing the Processor Airflow Shroud

CAUTION:

Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You

should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your
product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and
support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered
by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the
product.

1 Remove the system cover (see "Removing the System Cover" on page 66).
2 Press the release tab on the expansion card cover and pivot the cover open.

NOTE:

You can remove the expansion card cover, if desired, and set it aside.

3 Remove the cable(s) from the cable guides and fold the SATA cable(s)

away from the processor airflow shroud.
