3 Squeeze the tabs on the hard drive carrier release handle, then rotate the

handle down to release the drive.

4 Slide the hard drive out of the system.

NOTICE:

To maintain proper system cooling and EMI protection, all empty hard

drive bays must have a drive carrier or blank installed.

NOTE:

If you are not replacing the hard drive, remove the drive from the drive

carrier (see Figure 3-12) and insert the empty carrier back into the drive bay.

NOTICE:

It is recommended that you use only hard drives that have been tested

and approved for use with the SAS/SATA backplane.

NOTICE:

Not all operating systems support hot-pluggable hard drive installation.
