To change the setting
Start over from step 1.
If you made a mistake, press CURSOR *—
and return to the point you want to change
during steps 9 to 15, then change the setting.
To activate/cancel the tinner
1 Press TIMER SELECT, then turn MULTI
JOG until "REC SELECT ?" appears and
press ENTER/YES.
2 Turn MULTI JOG to select ON (set) or OFF
(cancel), then select the timer number with
CURSOR 4— or —► and press ENTER/YES.
To check the timer
Select "ON" for the desired timer number
(REC 1 to REC 5) in step 2 of 'To activate/
cancel the timer", then press ENTER/YES.
The last setting appears.
If the set times overlap
The shaded portions are not recorded.

Tips
• When you record from the radio, the Station
Name (see the next page, or the frequency if the
station is not labeled) is recorded on the MD along
with the start and stop times.
• The recording time for monaural recording is
roughly double that for stereo recording.
Notes
• When you record a long program on multiple
MDs (if you selected "MDALL" in step 13), the
sound is not recorded while the system is
switching MDs. If all the program cannot fit on
MD 1, recording starts automatically from the next
MD- Be sure to insert recordable MDs beforehand
and remove any unwanted MDs from the slots.
• Do not operate the system from the time the
power turns on until the recording starts (about
30 seconds before the preset time). If you do so,
the timer may not operate correctly.
• If the timer-on and -off settings are the same,
"OFF TIME NG !" appears and the cursor returns
to the timer-off setting. Change the time to turn
off.
• When you use a brand new MD to record, the first
30 seconds will not be recorded.
• If the power is on 30 seconds before the preset
time, the timer-recording may not be activated.
Make sure you finish the settings at least
30 seconds before the preset time, then turn off the
system.
• The volume is reduced to minimum during
recording.
• The Smart Space and Level Synchro Recording
features do not operate.
