The setup screen is displayed.
Your DVD player comes from the factory with all the basic
items set properly.
• Check the “Audio Output Setting” and “TV Aspect” settings to
make sure they are correct for the type of equipment connected
to your DVD player. For more information, please refer to the
“Connections” section, which begins on page 8.
• Change any other settings according to your individual setup
and preferences.

area) to the setting to be changed.
On-screen Menu
• Sets whether the on-screen guide messages are to be
displayed or not.
• Sets the background color of the TV screen while stopped.
Disc Languages
Sets the audio soundtrack language, subtitle language and
the language used in the menu screen.
• If the language selected by these settings does not exist
on the disc, the disc’s default language is used.
Audio Output Setting
Sets the audio output to be output from the unit according
to the type of speakers or audio equipment connected to
the unit.
TV Aspect
Sets the aspect ratio of the television set to which the DVD
player is connected.
Rating Limit
When playing discs with preset restriction level encoding,
this setting allows the player to automatically cut scenes
of excessive violence, etc.
PBC
Sets the default PBC (Play back control) mode on or off for
playing a video CD with PBC function.
Demonstration
Sets the demonstration mode which is activated while the
power is off.
Disc Resume
Sets the disc resume mode on or off.

Press ENTER.
The menu screen for the item you selected will be displayed.
Follow the directions on the next page to set individual
items.
While the setup screen is displayed, you will not be able to
load or unload a disc, or perform other operations. Press
SETUP again to exit the setup screen before performing these
actions.
