CHANGING SETUP VALUES (CONTINUED)

Disc Languages

sets the language for displaying DVD disc menus.
There are 3 items you can set.

Subtitle Language

[T]At the initial setting screen, select “Disc Languages” by

using

AT.

Then press ENTER.

to move the cursor (the yellow area) to “Subtitle

Language”.

Audio Language

[TjAt the initial setting screen, select “Disc Languages” by

Original; Play discs in the language specified as the default on

the disc. Then go to step 7.

English; Play discs in English. Then go to step 7.

Japanese: Play discs in Japanese. Then go to step 7.
Others: Language code setting screen appears. Then go to

step 5.

Auto:

Subtitles will automatically be displayed in the same

language set for AUDIO.
• Subtitles will not be displayed when the played back

language is the one given priority.

• If you change the default audio language during

playback, or if the default audio language does not

exist on the disc, then subtitles will be displayed in

the default audio language as selected by the AUDIO

setting.

Example:

• English is set as the default audio language selected

by the AUDIO setting.

• When playing a English audio track, no subtitles will

be displayed.

• If you change the audio track to a different language

during playback, English subtitles will be displayed.

• If there is no English audio track on the disc, English

subtitles will be displayed.

English; Play discs in English.

Japanese; Play discs In Japanese.

Others:

Language code setting screen appears. The

procedure for setting the language code is the same
as for “Audio Language” setting. Refer to the steps

[5] and [6] of “Audio Language” setting.

[5] Press o*^RETURN to return to the previous screen or press

SETUP to exit the setup menu.

If the language selected by these settings does not exist on the

disc, then the disc’s default language will be used.

If the language selected by these settings does not exist on the

disc, then the disc’s default language will be used.
