Do not use the following types of documents or it may jam. Make a copy of such documents and

feed a copy into the unit.

•Paper with chemically treated surface such as carbon paper or carbonless duplicating paper
•Heavily curled, creased or torn paper
•Paper with a coated surface
•Smalt size paper such as a slip or voucher
•Thin paper less than 45 g/m^ (12 pounds)
•Thick paper over 90 g/m^ (24 pounds)
•Paper with faint contrast between the print and the background

•Paper with printing on the reverse side that can be seen through from the front (e.g. newspaper)

Remove clips, staples or the other similar objects from a document before feeding it into the unit.
Make sure that any ink or paste on the document is completely dry before feeding it into the unit.

Note:

•A document whose length exceeds 600 mm (23^") cannot be transmitted. When you feed such

documents, the unit stops transmitting and a long beep will be heard. If this happens, press the
STOP/CLEAR button and remove the document.

•If a document is electrostatically charged, the automatic document feeder may not function

properly.

Resolution and contrast

You can set the following functions depending on the quality of an original. Set the functions before

transmitting or copying. If you set them during transmission, they will be effective from the next sheet
transmitted.

riD STANDARD

FtNE

SUPER FINE

RESOLUTION:

STANDARD is suitable for printed or typewritten
originals with normal size characters.

FINE is suitable for originals written with small

characters.
SUPER FINE doubles the resolution of FINE.

(SUPER FINE only works between Panasonic
compatible machines such as KX-F90, KX-F110,

KX-F220, KX-F320.)

HALFTONE:
HALF TONE is useful when sending originals

containing photographs, shaded drawings, etc.
When you use this feature, resolution (FINE) is
selected automatically.

LIGHT ORIGINAL:
LIGHT ORIGINAL is useful when transmitting or
copying originals with faint writing.
